Tasked with creating a laundromat brand identity that moved beyond the functional conventions of the category, bringing personality and a sense of play to an everyday chore.
The name Soap Opera provided the foundation, bringing together the everyday world of soap with the over-the-top theatrics of television drama. From there, the identity was given a healthy dose of personality, creating a playful brand world centred around one simple idea. Laundry (without the drama).
Laundry
(without the drama).
The visual identity brings this idea to life through a playful visual language inspired by the soft, rounded forms of the duplicated ‘O’s within the brandmark. These shapes become expressive soap bubbles, with additional bubbly pops creating a fresh, light-hearted system that feels unmistakably soapy.

The new branding extends across the physical laundromat through signage, in-store POS, posters and machine stickers, creating a consistent personality and visual language across every touchpoint.

The result is a laundromat brand with personality, bringing a playful and memorable presence to a previously mundane category. With its first location now open and a second on the way, Other Asset helped transform an everyday task into a brand experience people notice, remember and want to talk about.
